Matt Varga The Nike Shox enterprise has emerged as a key cog in the brand’s Y2K efforts. While most often visited with variations on the Shox R4 and Shox TL, the Shox Ride 2 has been slowly gaining steam as a third member of the family. Evidently, it’s set to take on the back half of 2025, now surfacing in a classic red and “Smoke Grey” split.
While its two peers wade into more experimental waters, developing iridescent or otherwise experimental colorways, the Nike Shox Ride 2 still has plenty of ground to cover in more well-established aesthetic territory. To that end, the grey uppers here deliver easily-worn appeal, the rear Shox units help liven up the profile in “University Red.” Under light, thin strips at the quarter add some livelier flair with 3M materials, but all told, this is a pair whose selling points should be apparent from first glance.
As a true GR product, the Nike Shox Ride 2 “Smoke Grey” will likely hit Nike.com sometime in the next several weeks, commanding a $190 MSRP upon arrival.
