We’ve still got a few months to go, but we’d remiss to ignore the clear Halloween vibe of this upcoming Nike Vomero 5. The Beaverton brand’s hottest tech runner here takes on a slew of different textures reminiscent of mummies, not to mention subtle yet tasteful orange flashes.
Four different materials land on the upper, starting with what appears to be woven hemp across the base layer. Suede panels crop up around the forefoot and heel, while stitched canvas frames an enclosed, all-leather cage (as opposed to TPU) around the quarter. Outlined, stitched Swoosh logos stretch over multiple panels on both sides, with the medial logo supporting the shoe’s Halloween narrative in orange. Rope laces add yet another special quality to the mix, while the midsole looks recently-unearthed with a pre-scuffed finish. The sneaker comes wrapped in a “Muslin/Pale Ivory/College Grey/Sail” colorway, save for orange hits on the insoles, outsole plate, lower eyelets, heel Swoosh, and medial Swoosh as mentioned.
