Andrew Rizzo ASICS is currently pushing models like the GEL-CUMULUS 16 and GEL-Nimbus 10.1, but those silos wouldn’t be positioned for success had it not been for the GEL-Kayano 14. The Sportstyle staple helped lay the groundwork for ASICS’ tech runner push a few years back, and while no longer a main focus for collaborations, it’s still a crucial cornerstone of the brand’s catalog.
For Fall 2025, ASICS is replenishing its selection of general release Kayano 14s with a crisp “Burgundy” colorway. These aren’t as techy as the makeups we’ve become become accustom to on the model, taken with a darker, more contemporary palette as opposed to attention-grabbing colors. The “Burgundy” hue appears on the GEL cushioning and overlays alongside “Metallic Silver,” complemented by dark grey on the base and midsole.
