Amid detail-driven projects and the pairs built on nuanced inspiration, it’s worth remembering that sneakers are supposed to be fun at the end of the day. For Holiday 2025, Nike is releasing “Abominable Snowman” Dunks for kids inspired by the mythical yeti creature, complete with fuzzy fabric, special branding, and a cute yeti accessory.
Off the bat, we’re reminded of the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk pack from 2020 (and the “Three Bears” pack before it). Mimicking the look of yeti hair, high-piled fuzzy fabric appears across almost the entire upper. The toe box is the lone anomaly, presented with a shorter “Celestine Blue” material to match the laces and sole unit. The Swoosh and lining take up a “Green Abyss” color, and the Nike logos on the tongue and backtab are altered through an icy, arctic-inspired lens. Text reading “Make Your Own Tracks” appears on the inner tongue, while a plush accessory of a yeti holding a Swoosh provides yet another playful touch.
The “Abominable Snowman” name is most closely associated with the Christmas classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), but do note that this isn’t a collaboration. It is, however, one of the more buzz-worthy 2025 Dunk Low releases we’ve seen hit the ‘net so far.
The “Abominable Snowman” Dunks will release in pre-school sizes during the Holiday 2025 shopping window, priced at $120. Grade School sizes are also possible, but it’s unlikely the sneaker will be made available for adults.
