With the adidas Samba persisting in the conversation for most populous street sighting, for the casual consumer, the fashion-forward, or the sneakerhead set, it’s really no surprise that the adidas Samba “Cheetah” has managed to carve out such a dominant presence. An object of fascination that’s led to instant sell-outs for adidas drops and subsequent retailer restocks, the shoe is once again set to replenish, as adidas has officially queued it up anew for August 15th.
No doubt capitalizing on runoff from 2023’s coveted Wales Bonner Samba, this shoe sports similar spotted animal print from that high-profile counterpart at a far more accessible price point. Even for those not tapped into the world of high-fashion collaborations, the statement appeal that the shoe wears speaks volumes on its own accord; true-to-life orange cheetah print on the upper collides with fire red collars and laces for an unmissable first impression.
In addition to re-upping the Samba itself, its foremost partner in crime is also due to touch down that same date: the adidas SL72. Sporting an almost identical arrangement on a more lowkey model, that variation is part and parcel of the Three Stripes’ efforts to capitalize on the cheetah craze, something we recently covered as it branched onto the adizero Adios OG.
