Rave Ready: adidas Comes Home With A Superstar “Berlin”

Complete with black pebbled leather and metal studs.

Rave Ready: adidas Comes Home With A Superstar “Berlin”

adidas has long been a pioneer of the “City Series” concept, be it through collaborations, new takes on existing models, or full-on silhouettes inspired by different metro areas. While rather disconnected, “City Series” Superstars have been a recurring topic on our end this year, including a “Chicago” Superstar by DTLR and “404 Day” release for Atlanta. Now the German sneaker giant is coming home with a Superstar “Berlin” featuring some on-brand edgy touches, shown here via official images.

Berlin’s fashion aesthetic can be described as edgy and avant-garde; largely a result of the city’s underground rave scene. Perfectly at home on a liquor-covered floor at 3:00 AM, the adidas Superstar “Berlin” features pebbled black leather along with some key detailing. Metal studs appear on the stripes and tongue tag, the latter of which features serif “Berlin” text in dark grey. That same branded motif is utilized on the backtabs as well as a custom hangtag, while a metal grate-like lace dubrae adds another rebellious touch.

Most of the world will be able to cop the adidas Superstar “Berlin” on August 14th, but a specific US release date has yet to be announced (probably coming very soon though). Expect to pay $140 if interested.

In other adidas news, the adidas Samba “Cheetah” is restocking on August 15th.
