Erling Haaland Unveils New Logo With Upcoming Phantom 6 Elite Cleats

Much of our attention in recent months has skewed towards soccer style rather than soccer proper, as brands across the landscape have retrofitted their stable of football shoes for the casual consumer. However, the sport itself remains the bigger story by far, and Nike is pouring out an homage to one of its most recognizable figures. Erling Haaland is the face of the “Too Big To Miss” campaign, bringing player exclusive cleats to the public towards the end of August.

Already typically opting for the Nike Phantom series in actual action, it’s only natural that Erling Haaland takes his talents to the Phantom 6 Elite for this instance. For the uninitated, the silhouette sports Gripknit technology in its upper, a mesh/TPU hybrid tooled specifically for accuracy and touch on the court. Given his reputation as a generational striker, again the synergy is immediately apparent.

This player edition comes with a navy blue foundation, yet quickly transfers into a fiery orange/red gradient, bursting into licks of pure red towards the heel of the shoe. And yes, as promised in our title, this occasion serves as our first look at personal Erling Haaland branding, a spoke of concentric 6s emblazoned on the heel and on the interior.

The Erling Haaland x Nike Phantom 6 Elite comes in two toolings (designated by Nike as “firm ground” and “artificial grass”), retailing for $270 and $280, respectively. Either version hits retailers on August 18th before a global Nike.com and overall wider launch on August 21st.
