At the same time as their roster of “terrace” silhouettes have crested in popularity, adidas has steadily added to its roster of A-list international clubs, expanding their roster of EPL sponsees to 8 as we march toward the 2025-26 season. Just a few days before kickoff, Newcastle United is the latest to get in on the action with the adidas Samba.

Marking its first take on the Three Stripes staple, Newcastle plays things relatively close to the vest. A black-on-white upper and darkened gum sole could easily read as something pulled from the mainline catalog, leaving the extremes of this design as the foremost embrace of team spirit. Indeed, their trademark light blue covers the heel cup, while Newcastle follows in the footsteps of previous soccer collabs by simply planting its emblem on the tongue.
