New Balance Abzorb 2000 Hits The Pavement In Concrete Grey

With footwear fashion deeply entrenched in retro trends, brand designers have been tasked with bridging the gap of past and present through footwear. It’s a duty much more challenging as it sounds, and few have seen the success of New Balance in the 2020s.

The newly launched Abzorb 2000 silhouette is one example of that perfect blend. Taking the heart of the old school “dad shoe” vibe the brand has unintentionally coined, the 2000 silhouette injects plenty of futuristic data-driven points including the 3D-designed Abzorb SBS outsole that features a unique sculptural aesthetic.

Thus far, the colorways that followed the launch “Still Water” blue have been rather pedestrian as the brand has skewed back to its appealingly boring colors. This upcoming all-grey persists the monochromatic look as the upper sheds the contrast for the uniform vibe.

A release is expected later this Fall into the Holiday ’25 season for $170; see the official images ahead for a preview.
