This Nike Dunk Low Says “Take The Long Way Home”

Nike has done a fine job avoiding “boring” allegations when it comes to the Dunk Low as of late, crafting a “Panda” Dunk pack alongside more imaginative projects for Fall 2025 and beyond (including Swamp Sponge Dunks in collaboration with CPFM). Rather predictably, kid’s releases have played an important role in that regard. While we wait on “Abominable Snowman” Dunks earmarked for later this year, the Beaverton brand has come out with a new autumn-friendly GS style featuring myriad points of intrigue.

As we’ve seen time and again on kid’s Dunks, the branding is met with key alterations. The Nike logos on the tongue and backtab are made to look like branches growing leaves, vaguely championing an adventurous theme. The inner tongue makes the idea more clear, taken with a graphic that reads “take the long way home.” As for the core construction, pebbled “Seaweed” leather overlays featuring white contrast stitching match a midsole of the same vein. The tongue and toe box come in “Cargo Khaki,” while the quarter and collar feature a unique “Green Abyss” pattern over canvas material. An “Ochre” leather Swoosh and patterned red laces round out the highlights up top, while a light brown gum outsole caps off the delivery underfoot.

The Nike Dunk Low GS “Seaweed/Cargo Khaki/Green Abyss/Ochre” is available now on the Nike website, but sizes are already selling out. Expect to pay $100 if you’re moved to pick these up.
