Kang And Kodos Star On The Latest adidas x Simpsons “Treehouse Of Horror”

Quibble if you will with how long the show has stayed on the air, but it’s nigh impossible to dethrone The Simpsons as an all-time pillar of American culture. adidas has done the bulk of the work in adapting the show’s finest characters and moments into sneakers, again the case as we look to Halloween and another “Treehouse of Horror” collaboration slinks in.

For this year, we see something of a creative shift in the Simpsons x adidas lineage. The 2023 and 2024 editions hit on specific episodes of the anthology series, but this 2025 follow-up instead takes a broader view. The titular characters first debuted in 1990’s original “Treehouse of Horrors” for a flip of the Twilight Zone’s “To Serve Man.” Following that debut, they’ve become staples of the the series, making at least a cameo appearance in the 30+ chapters since.

Maintaining the faithful adaptation of its predecessors, this shoe sports a sensible blend of greens that stem from the the Rigellian’s on-screen appearance, of course only complete with their one eye on the tongue. A translucent drawstring bag, matte light blue rubber underfoot, and silver alternate laces hit on finer details like their breathing helmets and spacecraft.

The past two “Treehouse of Horrors” Simpsons x adidas pairs released in close proximity to Halloween; the same will likely prove true for the adidas Forum 84 Low “Kang and Kodos.”
