There’s a strong argument that the pink, store-exclusive version of the Awake Jordan 5 was the one that most were after, both the hotter secondary market commodity and the version most visible throughout the shoe’s rollout (debuted first, the center of multiple promo campaigns, etc.) However, the core of what makes this collaboration so highly-regarded remains, none more prominent than the trademark “A” netting that’s easily among the most transformative design tweaks anyone has brought to the Air Jordan 5. Another Awake staple, contrast stitching, outlines the jer black panels in the upper, while a stacked co-branding detail sits prominently on the tongue.
