The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Solar Red” Releases On October 10th

Updated August 28th, 2025: The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Solar Red” is now expected out on October 10th. Our original coverage is otherwise intact below.

Sergio Lozano’s iconic grey gradient has been hard to miss all throughout 2025. The return of the “Neon” served as an early centerpiece of the AM95’s 30th birthday celebration, but we’ve been treated to a bevy of adjacent looks on a rolling basis since: “Blue Tint,” “Pink Foam,” “Bright Mandarin,” “Blue Spark.” Next up in that group is the Nike Air Max 95 OG “Solar Red,” now creeping towards its own release date.

Like those aforementioned predecessors, the shoe at hand maintains 90% of the real estate they all shared, this Air Max 95 distinct by swapping titular “Solar Red” onto the lace loops and Big Bubble cushioning. Notable for the sticklers and detail-oriented, the tongue keeps to all-white mesh, eschewing the contrast red panel seen on previous years’ versions.

Often the “Neon” is held up as the representative of the 110 as a whole, its frequent retro release cadence creating something of a positive feedback loop that’s led to it becoming the most instantly recognizable. Relative to that radioactive edition, the OG “Solar Red” is more of a cult classic, revisited for a re-release only on two occasions following its ’95 debut, once in 2011 and once in 2018. If the archival status of this look isn’t enough to attract attention, that scarcity should be.

Though these shots may read as run-of-the-mill “first looks,” their author, @cakenotcrumbs, typically receives pairs in close proximity to release. If that holds true for this shoe, the Nike Air Max 95 OG “Solar Red” should be populating release calendars in the coming weeks. We’ll keep you updated with all these latest info via our Sneaker Release Dates page.
