Air Max TL 2.5, Air Tech Challenge II, Clogposite; Nike’s plate has been full all year in trying to balance various crate-digging retro efforts. Simply on a basis of how many colorways have come about to date, the Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 has been a sleeper story, now coming to the fore again with news of its 2019 “Black/Volt” returning this Holiday season.

The colorway is really as simple as its double-barrel title, building the bulk of the shoe out of black mesh and patent leather, while working some hi-vis neon green in between. The 2025 version is expected to remain true to what consumers got six years ago. In the time since that launch, this variation on the ’90s classic has held on as a somewhat hot secondary market commodity, that innate demand possibly pushing this futuristic edition beyond its modern pairs. To that end and though it brings us no pleasure to report, many of the looks for the AIr Max Uptempo 95 remain shelf fodder; maybe this Holiday spotlight is exactly what the doctor ordered to bring it better fortunes.
