The impending launch of the PUMA Hali 1 might give Charlotte’s superstar some competition in the halls of Herzogenaurach. For the moment, LaMelo Ball reigns supreme with the Big Cat, owner of their best-selling signature line and a bustling group of offshoots. After finding success with the skate-inspired, fashion-forward PUMA LaFrance, he’s doubled down beginning in Summer 2025 with the PUMA LaFrance RNR.

Keeping the maximalist, chunky aesthetic intact, Ball’s latest silhouette heads from the runway to the trail, so far fittingly spending a bulk of its colorways in neutral territory as a result. In line with that, grey takes up the majority of this shoe, but LaMelo ensures you still know it’s of his expressive catalog with slime green piping and a light blue jewel in the sole unit. For the first time, the TPU lacestay panel shifts to translucent, signalling a willingness for the German giant’s designers to tinker with texture and materiality as the shoe gets its legs under it.

The LaMelo Ball PUMA LaFrance RNR “Grey/Neon” drops on October 3rd, retailing for $125 in men’s sizing. GS pairs are also expected, clocking in closer to $100.
