Fire Red 5s, Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95, And This Week’s Best Releases

Tough, tough calls incoming.

Fire Red 5s, Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95, And This Week’s Best Releases

Update: The Nike Mars Yard 2.o, initially expected to release on 9/13, has been postponed to 9/19. Our breakdown below has been updated to reflect this change.

There’s still three full months left in 2025, so we’re not closing the book on this year by any means. However, the clock is certainly ticking all the same, and some of the pairs we’ve been tracking and anticipating since January are finally becoming tangible this week.

Of course, that has to begin with the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red,” as any time a stone cold OG is back in the mix, it’s headline-worthy. For good measure, the Nike Air Max 95 chips in a few on its own in a year that’s been chockfull of “Big Bubbles;” the Yu-Gi-Oh collaboration and an inline “Camo Pack.”

Looking further down the cast, there’s no shortage of additional A-listers; the Vans Old Skool “Souvenir” is back in burgundy, Wales Bonner brings her talents to Kareem’s signature shoe, the Nike Book 1 “Neon” drops off its own awaited PE, the South Park Crocs collection nabs a doubly Colorado collab, Victor Victor ushers in his first Air Max DN8, and Saucony trots out a new model with the help of METAGIRL.

Catch day-by-day photo breakdowns below of what this week has in store. Each day’s gallery contains blurbs below with hyperlinks for each drop — follow those to lead back to our original coverage with “Where To Buy” purchase links for each respective release.  As we always do, we’ll update the list below with any late-breaking additions, but keep an eye on our Jordan Release Dates and Sneaker Release Dates pages to make doubly sure that nothing falls through the cracks.

September 7th might be your chance at a get-back; the Vans Old Skool “Souvenir” Burgundy brings the Chanel-inspired shoe back in a new color.

September 8th focuses on a longstanding partnership, as the adidas x Wales Bonner Jabbar delivers Grace her first basketball shoe.

September 9th splits time between the Air Jordan 1 High “Baroque Brown,” a simple rendition of Mike’s first for the Fall, and the Nike Book 1 “Neon,” printing Devin’s first in an ode to the AM95.

September 10th first queues up a 2010s reissue, as the Nike Kobe 9 Low “Moonwalker” returns anew with Protro features. If the silhouette hadn’t already, the New Balance 1906L “Metallic Pink” should capture the fashion girlies wholeheartedly. Lastly, the Nike International Running pack executes a backwards-facing re-up of some of the Swoosh’s techiest performance kicks.

September 11th keeps things lowkey, beginning with a two-pack out of Boston: the Made in USA New Balance 991v2 “Gold Earth” and New Balance 991v2 “Dusk.” If you haven’t had your fill of transparent sneakers, the Nike Dunk Low “Pink Rise” is here to assist.

September 12th features both the most diverse slate and the most jam-packed. First up is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 collection, but note that the “grey “Jonouchi” will only be let loose in Japan. Another animated franchise drops off the South Park Crocs collection, while the METAGIRL Saucony Paramount introduces the customizer into the Boston canon. If you strike out on the manga-fied models, look to the Air Max 95 Purple Camo and Nike Air Max 95 Orange Camo for your Big Bubble fix, or if Saucony’s contributions aren’t your speed, more balletcore aesthetics dot the Susan Fang Nike Dunk capsule. We close out with a range of basketball options:  The Nike Air Foamposite “Deep Royal,” the adidas Jabbar Low “Bruce Lee,” the Nike Sabrina 3 “Radiant” and the Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Genisus “Bronny.”

September 13th finishes things with a bang. The Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” (Black Tongue) is finally back on shelves and the first of the  Victor Victor Air Max DN8 colorways, its “NYC” variation, touches down.
