The adidas Samba Is Entering Its Winter Boot Era

If your Instagram explore page is anything like ours, chances are you’ve come across customizers that add rugged soles to adidas terrace classics. While not necessarily a mainstream movement, it’s clearly one that’s found its way into the Three Stripes’ in-house endeavors. On the heels of a Stan Smith made to look like a leisure shoe is a winterized version of the quintessential adidas Samba, shown here via official images.

Ditching its reputation as the market’s most popular slim sneaker, the Samba is here boosted by an all-new hiking sole featuring rugged, winter-worthy tread. The upper sees an overhaul is well, taken with a hairy suede base and protective synthetic material on the t-toe and heel. Metal eyelets and rope laces continue the shoe’s rugged theme, while reflective hits on the stripes/backtab provide some welcome flair.

The adidas Samba Winter (or Samba WTR) is due out Fall/Winter 2025 in multiple colorways, led by season-appropriate black and brown arrangements. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming adidas.
