Michael Jordan’s Iconic Barcelona Sweater Makes The ’92 Connection With These Jordans

The Jordan MVP 92 is so closely related to the Air Jordan 7 that it would be hard to tell them apart from far away. The upper of the Air Jordan 7 from 1992 is a direct port to the contemporary 2025 model, but was the resemblance was the goal all along?

Here we have a special edition colorway that connects the dots way back to 1992. This wild pattern that was featured across the Air Jordan 7 exudes a tribal theme befitting Tinker Hatfield’s original design concept for the 7th model. Michael Jordan himself made that textile unforgettable when he sported a top and bottom clad in the design during his stay in Barcelona for the ’92 Olympics.

Jordan Brand later released an actual Air Jordan 7 with that print as the centerpiece, dubbing it the “Nothing But Net” edition. That same nickname applies here as the two share an undeniable overlap.

The Jordan MVP 92, still the early part of its life cycle, looks to have an impactful Holiday ’25 season thanks to these dedicated releases, so check out the images below and stay tuned for a release on Nike.com for $145.
