Unreleased Travis Scott Jordan Jumpman Jack Prototype Revealed

The wide world of Travis Scott shoes includes tons of samples and prototypes that never made it into development, offering an inside look at some of the work Travis and co. put in behind the scenes. Rare sneaker collector @kingoftrainers has unveiled a first look at a never-before-seen pair: an early prototype of the Jordan Jumpman Jack, presumably created before the model’s late 2023 debut.

As we’ve come to know it, the Jordan Jumpman Jack (or CJ1 T-Rexx) blends skate, basketball, and retro trainer influences, built on a layered upper distinguished by a strap and a midsole reminiscent of vintage tennis shoes. This prototype version goes in an entirely different direction, doing without a strap and opting for a sole unit more akin to that of the Jordan 1 or Nike Dunk. The upper’s shape recalls the Jordan 14, with a narrow forefoot leading to a more ankle-hugging collar featuring interior padding.

While the Jumpman Jack proper uses durable canvas, this prototype opts for a different, chenille-like fabric around the quarter—and most notably on the heel, where a Jumpman logo patch is stitched in. The paneling draws the clearest connection to the retail pair, though it appears sharper and less rounded. Meanwhile, the colorway closely mirrors the “Dark Mocha” edition that released last year. All things considered, it’s likely most will agree Jordan Brand got it right with the final design.
