Soccer aesthetics remain in high demand. Barring the “Rage Quit” Total 90 III link-up with DOTswoosh, the converted pitch icon has been able to dominate Beaverton’s advances into the space largely on an in-line basis. That is to say, it’s been the base composition and the efforts of in-house designers that’ve raised it to become the brand’s core football silhouette, seemingly set to continue as we enter Q4.

Always a tightrope with its splashier models, Nike has had to balance avoiding too much saturation with feeding into demand for the Total 90, resulting in a healthy but not overwhelming slate of new looks hitting the newswire. Within that group, glossy editions and more experimental textures have been the most frequent choices, and the Nike Total 90 III “Anthracite” leans in the latter direction, allowing for a bit more textural intrigue than you’d see in typical “Triple Black” colorways.
