Never-Before-Seen Nike Dunk High “Solar Red” Sample Surfaces

Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy line spawned a slew of Yeezy-esque sneakers of the non-collaborative variety — some of which, apparently, never saw the light of day. Grail collector/seller @clamskicks just posted images of a pair we’ve never seen before: a Nike Dunk High inspired by the Yeezy 2 “Solar Red.”

Made to resemble Kanye’s second sneaker with the Swoosh, this Dunk High features a black upper constructed from suede, mesh, and croc-skin leather at the heel. A red sockliner and semi-clear green outsole complete the tie-in with Kanye’s Air Yeezy 2.

Apparently, Nike produced Dunk Highs inspired by all three Yeezy 2 colorways but only ended up releasing one for the “Red Octobers.” The brand also went this route with the Nike Foamposite and Air Force 1 during the Kanye West era in the 2010s.

To state the obvious, these have never — and likely never will — see a public release. If you’re a collector with deep pockets, however, @clamskicks is reportedly fielding offers in the $10,000+ range.
