Original article published October 20th, 2025:

Some sneaker industry partnerships are off-beat, and some just make perfect sense. Travis Barker and Vans are firmly in the latter category. The Blink-182 drummer’s devotion to Vans has turned into something of a more formal partnership in recent years, with Travis serving as one of the faces of the Old Skool Music Collection and modeling FTP’s first Vans collab earlier this year. Now, Barker’s longstanding love affair with the Van Doren Rubber Company is finally culminating in a collaboration of his very own.

Vans have been an essential part of Barker’s uniform for years, so it’s fitting that his collab plays off the classic black-and-white Old Skool colorway. Barker’s tattoos come to life in a few key areas, led by boombox logos on the tongue (which Travis has on his chest) and barbed wire on the foxing (which he has on his left knee).

Most notably, perhaps, is Old English text reading “Dues Paid” across the right and left toe boxes. Travis got this message tattooed on his knuckles around 2015 — likely as a nod to his journey in the music industry and/or his sobriety.

To complement the sneaker release, Barker released a “Dues Paid” audio track created solely for the partnership. Last but not least, Barker’s ransom-style logo — the same one used on his signature drum pads — appears across the heel panels. Vans Brand Curator and legendary sneaker photographer Atiba Jefferson, who himself just dropped his first Vans collab, shot the campaign images attached above.

The Travis Barker Vans Old Skool releases October 23rd, 2025 via the Vans website. The Vans store at The Grove in Los Angeles will also have 50 pairs in stock on that date. More Travis Barker Vans are on the way, with a second drop already planned for 2026.
