Salomon Sets Up Its First Shop In Los Angeles

No footwear brand in the last decade has seen its image evolve as dramatically as Salomon. Born in the French Alps, the brand has transformed from a snow and ski imprint into a full-on lifestyle powerhouse, notching $300 million in sales from that category alone last year. With the brand now holding an equally strong presence at shops like REI and the world’s most high-end sneaker boutiques, a new retail location in one of Los Angeles’ most fashionable shopping districts feels like a natural next step.

Located at 8620 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, this is Salomon’s first-ever store on the West Coast — its fourth overall in the United States. Beyond being a major city, LA’s diverse geographic environment aligns perfectly with Salomon’s brand identity. Models like the XT-6 and XT-4 allow Angelenos to lead active lives without sacrificing fashion.

“Opening our first California store in West Hollywood marks a significant moment for Salomon—not only as a milestone in our growth within the U.S., but as a deeper commitment to a city that thrives on culture, creativity, and constant reinvention,” says Jenny Taylor, Salomon’s Vice President of Marketing, North America “Los Angeles has always been a global hub for movement and expression—values that are core to who we are. We envision this new space as more than a store; it’s a gathering point for the LA community, and a place to connect, create, and explore together.”
