There’s been much ado about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards’ shoes, but truth be told, the current “best hoops shoe” conversation should really be a triple threat match. Despite some valid performance critiques, Ja Morant’s latest Nike model is inarguably his best yet, combining a focused, aggressive signature aesthetic with some of the strongest tech we’ve seen in his line to date.
As the Nike Ja 3 continues its run, images of an eye-catching, near-monotone turquoise colorway have surfaced online. Gold Swoosh logos outlined in purple appear on the lateral side, while the medial Swoosh and “Twelve” text on the heel come in solid purple. As the lead image shows, the sneaker bears a striking resemblance to the Statue of Liberty-inspired Jalen Brunson Kobe 6 set to drop later this year. The color choice here, though, likely ties back to the Memphis Grizzlies’ throwback uniforms, which the team has brought back this season.
