Andrew Rizzo With ComplexCon in the rearview, Las Vegas’ next major event on the calendar is DesignerCon in mid-November, North America’s largest art, design, and collectibles convention featuring more than 700 vendors. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, DesignerCon is marking the milestone with its first-ever collaboration with Vans on the Half Cab silhouette.
As noted in our title, the DesignerCon x Vans Half Cab is limited to just 200 pairs. The expo’s logo appears at the heel, while its color scheme informs the palette of the shoe itself. Varying shades of blue canvas and suede make up most of the upper, complemented by a red tongue, light green piping along the tongue and foxing, and classic brown and yellow Half Cab branding on the tongue and quarter. The partnership feels especially fitting for Steve Caballero’s signature Vans sneaker, as the legendary pro skater is also a visual artist who designs his own decks and has been a frequent presence at DesignerCon over the years.

As mentioned, only 200 pairs of the DesignerCon x Vans Half Cab will be released at the expo (November 14th-16th). VIP ticket holders will receive first access to purchase the limited collaboration at the event. Additional release details will be shared as the show approaches.
