First Look At The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Perspective”

A modified bring-back.

First Look At The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Perspective”

Amid applied pressure from long-standing members of the Protro family, such as the Kobe 6 “Caitlin Clark,” the Nike Kobe 9 continues to make a name for itself in the same vertical. After checking off the typical sentimental slate of debut looks in its “Mambacita” and “Halo” colorways to begin this journey, a host of fan-favorite editions from its initial era are trickling back to shelves.

The latest of that crop comes with a twist, adapting a colorway that first appeared on its sky-high cut into the low variation that more closely aligns with the Mamba models that preceded it. In question is the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Perspective,” pulling the kaleidoscopic teal and yellow-green palette onto the shorter Flyknit arrangement. Those who’ve caught our recent coverage or remember the 2010s Kobe 9 story will note that this is a “muse”-inspired look, drawing its cerulean overtones from Pablo Picasso’s Blue Period as part of a series of reflections on artisan geniuses Bryant looked to emulate on the hardwood. Outside of the apparent removal of the sock-like foot entrance, this updated edition largely remains true to what hoopers witnessed in 2015, this time carrying the revised traction and drop-in React cushioning that completes the “Protro” promise.

The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Perspective” touches down on December 3rd, retailing for $220. Catch in-hand images below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for more on the most notable upcoming products.
