The latest of that crop comes with a twist, adapting a colorway that first appeared on its sky-high cut into the low variation that more closely aligns with the Mamba models that preceded it. In question is the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Perspective,” pulling the kaleidoscopic teal and yellow-green palette onto the shorter Flyknit arrangement. Those who’ve caught our recent coverage or remember the 2010s Kobe 9 story will note that this is a “muse”-inspired look, drawing its cerulean overtones from Pablo Picasso’s Blue Period as part of a series of reflections on artisan geniuses Bryant looked to emulate on the hardwood.
