We had something of a false start earlier this year; initial reports of a crossover between Nike SB and the peerless Air Force 1 eventually petered out. Initially reported SKUs associated with the partnership were ultimately revealed to be run-of-the-mill colorways, albeit with gum sole detailing that at least nodded to the skateboarding world.

While we’d still love to get the full story behind that occurrence, it’s been easy to forget as the Nike SB Air Force 1 Low has received more concrete signals in recent weeks. After Eric Koston helped provide a tacitly official look at an all-black weartest sample, planned public pairs are trickling out at breakneck speed. An all-“Flax” leather pair and a trio of suede editions now gain a delicate peer, the Nike SB Air Force 1 Low “Light Orewood Brown.” Sharing the low-pile suede seen on that aforementioned set, the shoe approaches “Neapolitan” theming with a mix of “Pink Foam” detailing and a gum sole—an everlasting hallmark of board sport performance wear.

For those who actually plan on skating this worlds-collide shoe, these shots confirm the fatter tongue—a hallmark of the SB Dunk and subsequent imprint mashups. The wide laces from similar efforts and extra padding in the collar are additional tooling aspects we can confirm in these shots, with further changes expected to solidify as this “new” silhouette’s debut nears.
