The Nike Shox Z Takes On An Iridescent Finish

Chic meets techy.

The Nike Shox Z Takes On An Iridescent Finish

The repopularization of Nike Shox footwear has entered a new chapter with the women’s Shox Z, the Beaverton brand’s first new Shox model in nearly a decade (although the few Shox releases from the 2010s are best forgotten). Best described as a more streamlined, almost kitten-heel-like sibling to the quintessential Shox R4, the model targets a younger audience with an aesthetic that captures the defining footwear traits of the moment – slim, versatile, comfortable, and techy without being overbearing.

Following an initial rollout anchored by classic Shox colors of red, black, and silver, the model continues its run with an eye-catching iridescent edition. The Swoosh logos and midsole plate take on an iridescent finish featuring shades of teal and burnt orange, while the Shox pillars and molded mesh upper appear in black, directing all focus to the shimmering accents.

The Nike Shox Z “Iridescent” has already begun appearing at European retailers, suggesting a stateside drop through Nike is coming soon. The model typically retails for $135, though this special edition may come in slightly higher. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming Nike drops.
