The time has almost come. The Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” is due for arrival on November 28th, 2025, but don’t consider this “just another re-release”. The nearly all-black execution of the silhouette comes with some key differences to its most recent 2020 predecessor and 2006 original. A Brief History
The Air Jordan 4 is widely regarded as among the most popular Jordan shoes. It originally released in 1989 and was designed by Tinker Hatfield; it was made famous for its distinctive netting on the upper and the lace eyelet “wings” on the upper. The “Black Cat” colorway is based on Michael Jordan’s animalistic nickname, one of many monikers he held during his reign over the NBA.
This colorway is not an original 1989 colorway, but rather a Retro colorway that debuted in 2006. It features an all-black exterior with dark grey hits on the tongue logo and a white Jumpman logo on the bottom soles. In 2020, Jordan Brand released the shoe for the first time since its ’06 launch; it quickly rose to fame, commanding serious dollars on the secondary market.
When do the Black Cat Jordan 4s come out?
The Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” will officially release on November 28th, 2025. However, it is very possible that Jordan Brand will release them early via Nike SNKRS Shock Drops and/or Exclusive Access. It is also possible that there will be restocks in the future.

The Black Cat Jordan 4s will be available globally. In the US, they will drop on SNKRS as well as large, nationwide retailers such as Foot Locker, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Finish Line, Champs, and more. Why is the 2025 Black Cat Jordan 4 different?
As we stated earlier, the 2025 release is different from its predecessors. This version features the Nike Air logo on the tongue for the first time. It also matches the logo on the bottoms in white. Furthermore, the 2025 release will mark the first time this pair will be offered in full family sizes.
