Now, the whole picture comes further into view, as another colorway bearing his touches comes to light. Coated in what’s almost a bronze patina shade and metallic, iridescent finish, what we read as the shoe’s most significant development comes at the toe. Despite “shelltoe” becoming shorthand for the indelible streetwear design, the adidas Superstar eschews that touch for Ant’s variant, swapping to Smooth leather with an embossed AE logo pinned right below the laces. Leather linings and a chrome hang tag close out this pair.
