Andrew Rizzo Following an early drop at ComplexCon the other month, the regional-exclusive Air Jordan 11 “City Pack” is set for an earnest rollout on November 22nd. In between styles for Las Vegas and Houston is the Jordan 11 “285” for Atlanta, inspired by the interstate that encircles the city and the vibrant murals that give its streets character.
Following the “less is more” philosophy, the sneaker begins with a crisp all-white, all-leather upper. While you wouldn’t know it without context, a debossed line or “route” along the top of the mudguard helps carry the storytelling, effectively encircling the upper as Interstate 285 does the city. The backtab, meanwhile, takes on a multicolor print as a nod to Atlanta’s more than 1,900 street murals. Red traction pads appear within a semi-translucent outsole, followed by a black and blue carbon fiber plate at the midfoot.
The Air Jordan 11 “Atlanta” aka “285” releases November 22nd through select retail locations in Atlanta. Budget for a $250 shelf price if these are a must.
