A “Vivid Orange” Gradient Settles On The Nike Shox R4

Brightening up the winter slate.

A “Vivid Orange” Gradient Settles On The Nike Shox R4

Typically, our discussions of the Nike Shox line start off on a zoomed-out level, delving into the recent ins-and-outs of the suddenly bustling retro category. However, a spate of Nike Shox R4 colorways has made the conversation far more localized, as the model only appears to be getting more attention grabbing as its revitalized run stretches deeper on.

Paired with the Nike Shox R4 “Total Orange” and Shox R4 “Hyper Pink,” this “Vivid Orange” ombre look demonstrates the summery bend that Beaverton has brought to the silhouette, albeit during the off-season. Perhaps it’s intended a way to further turn heads, pairing these brightened tones with gloomier skies. Independent of our musings on product strategy, the general gist of this edition is easily understood, taking the synthetic body of the shoe from light blue at the toe into rich orange at the heel, including the pistons underfoot. Black collars, laces, and branding notes add some grounded touches in closing.

The Nike Shox R4 “Vivid Orange” has already started to populate Nike international sites and partnering retailers, indicating that a Nike US release isn’t far behind.
