Sneaker News The Nike Book 1 is almost in the books. Although the basketball shoe world now focused on the long-awaited arrival of the Nike Book 2, the Swoosh still has some fun tricks up its sleeve before the first chapter officially comes to a close. Sneaker News confirms that the Nike Book 1 “Rise From The Ashes” will be the final page of this storied run.
The Book 1 exterior is made to appear like the burnt pages of the book. The edges of the Swoosh, the midsole, and the toe-box are stained with a soot-like dark brown to mimic the remnants of a book gone aflame, much like how Devin catches on fire in a game. The shoe will then “rise from the ashes” to segue into the Nike Book 2. That sequel model is confirmed to debut on January 2nd, 2026 for 145 in the black “Rising” colorway.
Prior to the the Suns/Blazers game on the night of November 19th, Devin wore this Book 1 before the game before swapping his feet to the Book 2 model.
Aside from the Nike Book 1 “Rise From The Ashes”, Nike will still release the “What The” Book 1 later this year in a scarce 1,996 pair run.
