The Oregon Duck Cooks Up His Own Nike Sabrina 3

Sabrina Ionescu is beyond reproach in the halls of Oregon University, the all-time leader in multiple statistical categories and owner of a host of individual trophies that came wearing the school’s green and yellow. In her tenure as a signature Nike athlete, the beyond-the-arc sniper has made her love for her alma mater clear, penning several pride-filled odes to Oregon on every Sabrina model to date.

Isn’t about time that the relationship flows the other way? Clearly, the Oregon Duck thinks so, too. The feathery mascot took over the @goducks account to share his very first By You design, a fittingly viridescent overhaul of the Nike Sabrina 3. Between those patented emerald shades, orange containment wires speak to his webbed feet, rounded out with an iridescent jewel Swoosh and glow-in-the-dark insoles. While all of this is visually evident, the Duck shared a handwritten note breaking down the design process; titling it “the VERY original Nike Sabrina 3” in the process.

To our eye, this is simply a cleverly marketed Nike By You version with the Oregon Duck’s creative stamp on it, rather than a special colorway bearing any actual school-specific brands. Neither does this announcement mean that there are any additional customization options available within the module. Still, it’s a moment where Ionescu and Nike’s Oregon ties shine bright once again.
