The 2026 Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” Will Feature “23” Text On The Heel

'26 continues to heat up.

The 2026 Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” Will Feature “23” Text On The Heel

Update: In the latest of Jordan Brand’s efforts to recreate OG pairs, Holiday 2026’s Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” will return to the stacked 23 brand seen on the 2000 and 2009 pairs, rather than the “45” switch-up seen on the 2016. Launching to commemorate the film’s 30th anniversary, the vaunted colorway is expected to touch down on December 12th.

Jordan devotees are still sorting through their best path to secure the Air Jordan 11 “Gamma,” on top of adjacent sprints by all manner of brands to squeeze heat into the waning weeks of 2025. As if sorting through those impending releases wasn’t enough, seeds of the 2026 Jordan Release Dates calendar now sprout the centerpiece of the upcoming Holiday slate: a return of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam.”

Debuted in the crossover film of the same name, the icy blue/black edition built up a mythical status in the interim between its first appearance and its earnest release. In the time since, the shoe has gone on to arguably push for inclusion on the model’s Mount Rushmore alongside genuine OG editions like the “Concord” or “Columbia.” While only stock keeping unit (SKU) information and a release window have trickled out so far, this will likely be a shoe geared at tapping into past-era nostalgia, from inclusion of the new higher-cut shape to peripheral details like the return of retro cards and throwback packaging.

Though the colorway is now one of the most readily associated with the Air Jordan 11 as a whole, Jordan Brand has visited it precious few times since its 2000 debut. While an OG like the “Bred” has hit shelves five times overall, 2026’s pair will follow three for the film-worn pair, coming after its original 2000 drop, a 2009 retro, and its most recent in 2016.

Expect the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” to touch down in December as the spotlighted drop in the Holiday 2026 slate. Retail pricing is confirmed, but this is already set up to be one of the defining drops of next year; we’ll keep you in the loop with any additional updates via our coverage overall and our Jordan Release Dates landing page.
