Sneaker News Jordan Brand is taking the Air Jordan 40 on a breathtaking journey down memory lane. Focusing on the post-Chicago era of the Air Jordan legacy, the Jumpman is utilizing the fortieth model as a platform for some daring hybrid styles, bridging the gap between past and present with modern tooling for for today’s game. Next up is the Air Jordan 4014, a blend of the ucrrent game model and the Air Jordan 14.
Official images of this pairing has revealed a strong execution. On the upper is a stitch-less suede upper in bold red, mimicking the iconic “Ferrari” colorway of the Air Jordan 14. Towards the ankle is the car badge in bright yellow embedded inside the suede upper, while the tongue features the horizontal bar that gives structure. The carbon fiber overlay is found around the toe lip, creating a sporty chassis.
The heel design is where the Air Jordan 4014 shines; the “23” is debossed into the suede, while a metallic silver heel bumper further adds the exotic car aesthetic that the AJ14 is modeled after.
