Matt Varga Cue the Lonzo Ball clip: “it’s about that time.” As one of Nike Basketball’s longest-tenured athletes in its storied history, it was only a matter of time before the gems from Kevin Durant’s backlog began making their way back to shelves. The Nike KD 4 began that journey as its retro kicked off in 2024, and official images of the Nike KD 6 “All-Star” add to what’s a growing bring-back of its own.
The Slim Reaper’s choice for 2013-14, there’s no doubt that this silhouette remains one of his most beloved, uncoincidentally lining up with arguably his peak in popularity, captain of a young Oklahoma City Thunder squad that seemed poised for sustained dominance. For this colorway, this is an expression of the 2014 “NOLA Gumbo League” theme, utilizing heady, earthy patterns throughout the upper and sockliner, bracketed by hi-vis “Green Glow” across the outsole traction and branding up top.
If the treatment of the Nike KD 4 holds, original tooling specs should remain from what fans saw a decade ago with the KD 6, replete with Flywire containment in the siding and a visible underfoot Air unit. Overall, this continues the Swoosh’s mining of their 2010s product for the modern era, following in the footsteps of the Kobe 9 that shared that New Orleans collection or the impending Nike PG 1, which would make landfall three years after the model at hand.
True to its initial drop, the Nike KD 6 “All-Star” will be arriving in GS and adult sizing, expected for Spring 2026. Catch official images below.
