Larry June Teases adidas Adistar Control 5 Collaboration

Good job. Larry June, fresh off an album of the year contender with 2Chainz and frequent partner The Alchemist, might just be coming for the sneaker of the year conversation next. First teased last year, the Larry June adidas Adistar Control 5 is officially on the way, as the man himself took to social media for a full reveal.

To briefly backtrack, the Larry June adidas partnership went live as the Adistar Control 5 began its retro effort, with a full Three Stripes-laden campaign shoot featuring June in November. Extending that synergy between man and model is only a natural move, then. For his personal design, the shoe gets a citrus-coated makeover, aligning with June’s tangerine-heavy personal branding that so often results in decadent lyricism and lifestyle choices. A creamsicle-like gradient takes over the mesh underpinnings, while stem-like neon green appears in pops in the midsole and tongue. While it’s hard to make out the exact geometry from this on-foot shot, it appears that a spherical button on the heel rounds out the produce motif.

Hard launch information for the Larry June x adidas Adistar Control 5 isn’t available at this juncture, but the West Coast native does confirm a 2026 drop in this showcase.
