The New Balance 204L Stays Prolific With A “Sea Salt/Red Rock”

New Balance has come out of the gates swinging in the New Year. We covered a litany of new coatings for the 1906R, 2010, 1000, and 2000 as we turned the page on 2025, and many of those looks have already touched down at retail shelves and the brand’s flagship site. However, while those tech-inspired and throwback silhouettes remain a point of emphasis, the slim-soled New Balance 204L has been arguably the most populous offering from the Boston Brand in the early goings of 2026.

Already factoring into the “Lunar New Year” and “Valentine’s Day” capsules, the New Balance 204L’s inline looks have also been extremely common in the first few weeks. While there’s undoubtedly some romantic undertones, another GR comes to the surface with this “Sea Salt/Red Rock” edition, offering its take on the always suitable combo of white and red. Befitting its trendy overall composition, soft “Sea Salt” hues set the tone on the upper, flanked by subtle pops of burgundy within the “N” branding and in a slight swatch at the toe.

The New Balance 204L “Sea Salt/Red Rock” has already started populating overseas retailers, so it likely won’t be long before stateside ones and NewBalance.com follow suit. Expect the usual $120 sticker price upon arrival.
