Sneaker News European sneaker retail stalwart Solebox is gearing up for Paris Fashion Week with a must-have drop that will be available for one time only. Once again partnering with Japanese streetwear icon A Bathing Ape, Solebox pays homage to the lights and storefronts of Tokyo with a flashy Bape Sta design.
Off the bat, Solebox dazzles us with patent leather exteriors covering the entire body. The glitz of shopping in the Japanese city is reflected in the metallic chrome silver shooting star that screams across the upper, while bright aqua tones reside on the BAPE STA logo at the heel. While unintended, we’re immediately struck with memories of Nicky Diamond’s iconic SB Dunk Low from 2005.
Alongside the footwear is a mini capsule of apparel–classic Bape Sta head logo tees featuring the same aqua on the lettering and a chromed-out ape head with added dimensions through the coloring.
The Solebox x Bape Sta will drop exclusively at Solebox’s Paris location on January 23rd.
