The New Balance 2000 Goes Back To Basics In “Silver Metallic”

New Balance has launched a new campaign for the 2000 silhouette called “Behind the Design,” featuring Design Manager Charlotte Lee (who we spoke to upon the model’s debut) discussing what the sneaker is all about: reinterpreting ABZORB cushioning for the modern day. The campaign arrives alongside the official announcement of two upcoming styles, one being this newly released “Silver Metallic” look.

The style channels the essence of the 2000s with full Silver Metallic overlays and matching ABZORB SBS cushioning pods. The rest of the ABZORB-cushioned midsole comes in white, while a black mesh base creates striking contrast. This is one of two styles unveiled as part of the “Behind the Design” campaign, joined by a “Limelight” edition earmarked for April (spotted back in our Spring 2026 preview).

The New Balance 2000 “Silver Metallic” ($170) is available now at Foot Locker ahead of its wider NewBalance.com drop on January 30th. See our Where to Buy section below for purchase links.
