Andrew Rizzo Vans earned its way into the 2025 Sneaker of the Year conversation with one of its best releases in recent memory – an Old Skool Premium called the “Souvenir” inspired by Chanel’s iconic graffiti bag from the mid-2010s. The sneaker went stupid viral and sold out immediately, as did the alternate “Burgundy” colorway that came soon after.
2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the Vans Authentic and therefore the 60th anniversary of Vans itself, so we’re expecting some big things from the silhouette over the course of the next twelve months. One big development to note is this Authentic Premium “Charms Pack” releasing soon. The image above (posted by @YZAREYEZ) shows one of the styles next to Chanel’s highly sought-after La Habana bag from 2016/2017. The sneakers feature the same striped blue and white sequin detailing across the sides, as well as the bag’s olive-colored canvas in different areas. Paint splatter is applied to the toe, and the sidewalls feature a familiar pre-distressed finish. More evidence of the theme comes on the spines, which feature two metal bolts akin to the top of the La Habana bag. Each style comes with colorful paracord laces as well as a metal keychain featuring globes, dice, and plenty of additional accessories.
