Matt Varga Now in his sophomore season, Bronny James and the historic father-son dynamic he has going as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers has understandably taken on a quieter tenor this year. Though the looming retirement question and overall 23rd season for Pops is the #1 narrative focus, there are still a few flare-ups now and then. Both Jameses returning to Cleveland proved another, as #23 grew misty-eyed watching a video tribute and #9 suited up in front of family for a genuinely generational showcase.
Of course, what’s on feet remains our chief focus, and Bronny James had some serious eye candy in that regard. His LeBron Witness 9 from last night’s game marked the debut of his signature logo, an inset 9 within a lowercase “b” with craggly, jagged edges. Utilizing this shoe for this moment isn’t a surprise; a majority of the younger James’ pro action has come representing the LeBron brand on feet, with now a plurality including this silhouette in particular.
