The partners introduce a worlds-collide new face.

Arte Antwerp Nods To North African Soccer Culture With The All-New adidas Trivela

We’ve been warning for some time that the World Cup moment would become entirely dominant as brands began gearing up for the tri-nation showcase. In enlisting Arte Antwerp, adidas was ahead of the curve, issuing a rangey apparel collection joined by a slide style in December. The partners are back at it again as promised, now delivering the brand-new adidas Trivela silhouette in three monochromatic outfits.

Born out of Arte Antwerp founder Bertony Da Silva’s Angolan heritage and later European ties, the initial delivery of this campaign honed in on weighty geographical callouts (a bilingual Arabic/English tee) and a merger between earnest performance style and the brand’s own premium leanings (luxe knit rugby jerseys). Essentially, that same prompt remains in the genuine footwear articles. While the silhouette immediately speaks to football boot heritage for its slim sole construction and sock-like foot entrance, a full-length leather shroud above embraces a higher materiality, given some additional depth by an asymmetric zip unit and a subtle patch of suede where the shank might usually reside. Keeping that high-class atmosphere alive are the understated color options, as the Trivela kicks off in all-black, all-cream, and all-green.

The Arte Antwerp x adidas Trivela is due out on February 5th via CONFIRMED. Retail pricing is currently opaque, but as these populate the aforementioned app, we’ll get a clearer picture. Catch official images of each colorway included below.
