Don’t look now, but we’re amid something of a comeback for the Air Jordan 10. As is sometimes the case for kicks minted in and around Michael Jordan’s retirement (hello, Air Jordan 9), the AJ10 is sometimes overlooked in the vaunted Retro roster. However, via limited quantities and return efforts for its most beloved colorways like the “Steel” and “Shadow,” the silhouette is again cresting in the catalog.
The Air Jordan 10 “Hydrangeas” marks the first novel colorway ushered in during this revitalized period. The hardware of the Air Jordan 10, namely its interrupted leather uppers and striped sole and lace units, have typically pushed it into rather simplistic looks. Though this floral edition may fit that bill, it’s a luxurious one nonetheless; refined cream uppers and pastel lilac trim is pitch perfect for a women’s exclusive. And for the detail-oriented, this AJ10 shouts of one of its peers; darker purple interplay in the outsole highlights Jordan’s 1991 championship and MVP, a year in which the Air Jordan 6 (currently amid a 35th birthday celebration) also hit the shelves.
