Ever since its first public sighting, the Nike GT Future has drawn comparisons to Nike Foamposite footwear. Whether that’s an accurate parallel is up for debate (the Nike Hyperflight might be the better comp), but it hasn’t stopped members of the community from dreaming up classic Foamposite colorways on the model as mockups, and dare we say plenty of them actually work.

Now an iconic Nike Foamposite colorway is set to land on the GT Future… sort of. We’re talking, of course, about the Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” from 2012, a true era-defining release that still carries weight today, as evidenced by last year’s celebrated retro. Here we have a Nike GT Future “Galaxy” shared by Swoosh legend Frank Cooke, who has taken to teasing upcoming releases through his Instagram. The “Galaxy” theme remains, although the colors applied here are notably different. While the Foams lean on blue/purple, this GT Future stands out with a bold yellow/orange galaxy graphic on the medial side. What’s more is that Nike has released the GT Future “Galaxy” for purchase on the Fortnite Item Shop, which you can see HERE.

No release info for the GT Future “Galaxy” has been announced yet, but a Spring/Summer 2026 drop seems likely given the timing of the teaser. We’ll circle back with more details as clearer images emerge.
