The team overall has become embroiled in the middle of a leaguewide tanking controversy, yet even as further penalties for the practice are weighed, save for making Herb Simon’s pockets a bit lighter, the ‘Cers might just escape with a foundational player and no major consequences.
On the footwear end, the real bitter pill has been that Haliburton hasn’t been able to lace up the PUMA Hali 1 as it’s come to shelves, obviously a formative moment in his tenure as a PUMA athlete. Nonetheless, the Big Cat has continued to push out strong colorway in his absence; perhaps the yellow-heavy pair featured here could be in the works as he makes his return in 26-27. The gold tones in heavy supply here obviously are a match for Indiana’s unis, while the green trim aligns with the eccentric language and compositions of head designer Salehe Bembury.
However, in this latest spot by PUMA, Haliburton hints at a potential comeback while going through a mock therapy session. Could we see the Pacers superstar hit the hardwood before season’s end?
