At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we’ve had a specific piece of strategic intel at the tip of our tongue since 2024 when it comes to the Nike Air Force 1 Low. Then-CEO John Donahue attempted to salve consumer exhaustion with the Dunk Low and the Uptown by promising a reduction in their overall share of the catalog. Though in subsequent seasons we regarded that with some skepticism, given the continuing deluge of general-release colorways, perhaps it’s time to officially crown that as a success.

Be it through enlisting starry names like Lil Yachty, LeBron James, or Central Cee, or simply through cut-above creative overhauls of the erstwhile hoops shoe, certainly our coverage has shifted to more eye-catching editions of Bruce Kilgore’s design rather than run-of-the-mill palette swaps. All that said, the Swoosh can’t abandon those easily accessible versions altogether. Another one comes to light with the “Parachute Beige/Obsidian” split in the crosshairs here, a “return” to the AF1 as an always-on, always-styleable proposition for those seeking a closet refresh. Those two low-saturation shades duel in standard color-blocking before a staid white/black sole unit closes out.
