Sneaker News The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “UNC” is finally back on March 27th, bringing back a classic and almost forgotten colorway for the first time since its original release in 2003.
Long regarded as one of Nike Basketball’s most futuristic and ahead-of-its-time designs, the Air Foamposite Pro continues to stand above even the most modernistic creations of the modern day thanks to its alien-esque molded upper. Decades later, the silhouette still feels like something out of a time portal as it is often referenced in current times.
This particular release arrives in a popular pairing of University Blue and White, accented by hits of Midnight Navy for contrast to achieve that ever-coveted “UNC” theme. As mentioned earlier, these last dropped in 2003 and reemerges during Nike’s most emphatic push of the Foamposite series since the early/mid 2010s. Of course, this is just the start of Foam Pro goodness because the original “Voltage” pair is also set to drop later this year.
If you’ve been waiting for these for over two decades, be aware that this also marks the first time the UNC Foamposites will be available in both adult and full family sizing, expanding access to one of the Foamposite line’s more sought-after releases. For the kids, these will be in its Little Posite One form.
