Every angle of the story is legend-making in its own right, from the fact that LeBron was just 22 years old to the murderers’ row of defenders the performance came against, the Pistons then holding perennial contender status with a Finals-winning core of Rasheed Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, and Chauncey Billups.
The Nike LeBron 23 “Motor King” adapts the Pistons’ white jerseys from that game, flanking an embroidered white base with hits of blue and red. The real standout feature is a lenticular crown chassis, changing color across different angles. As all releases from the 23 have, the story culminates with a bespoke logo, as a flame-spitting, crown-wearing skull appears in blue at the heel.
